‘Hortus Redux’ means ‘Restored Garden’. Simon Burns-Cox created this piece of work specifically for the garden at The Scottish Sculpture Park. The garden has recently undergone a complete restoration programme. The sculpture was designed with the title of this exhibition in mind.  The sculpture is made from highly polished dark slate. There is a small delicately carved tulip hand carved at the top with the words ‘Hortus Redux’ carved below. The Scottish Sculpture Park at Caol Ruadh is set in a spectacular 20 acre garden. The garden is opposite the Burnt Islands on The Kyles of Bute, Argyll, Scotland.  Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park is an outdoor gallery promoting and selling contemporary sculpture created by artists from around the world. Throughout the summer, visitors can wander freely around the garden. There are classical and abstract sculpture created from stone, wood, metal and organic material by internationally renowned sculptors.  The Scottish Sculpture Park at Caol Ruadh is run by Karen Scotland and Anne Edmonds.
